AWP Sports is a sports training facility located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The main location is a 57,000 square ft. facility at SportONE Parkview Fieldhouse at 3946 Ice Way. Additional practices and training occurs at The Plex South located at 5702 Engle Rd in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
AWP Sports is the elite sports training facility in the midwest and is home to the 3rd ranked 7v7 travel football program in the country. AWP Sports provides athletic training and character development in a number of areas.
Sports specific training is available for: Football, Basketball, Baseball, Wrestling, and Hockey.
Performance training is available for: all sports, linear speed, strength training, and adult fitness.

Key People in the AWP Process
Michael V. Ledo - CEO
CEO Michael Ledo is active in all aspects of the AWP Sports from operations, marketing and promotions, character development, and even serves as an assistant coach on the 7v7 football team and instructs defensive backs in AWP Football Academy.

Bryan Bourcier - Co-Founder/Chief Performance Officer
Chief Performance officer and co-founder Bryan Bourcier creates and implements the training philosophy of AWP Sports and works with injury prevention.
Carl Thomas - Director of Sports Performance
Director of Sports Performance Carl Thomas coordinates and executes performance strategies for all clients and serves as an assistant on the defensive staff for the travel 7v7 program for which his duties include working with the linebackers and assisting in injury prevention.
Geoff King - Sports Performance Coach/Linear Speed Specialist
Sports Performance Coach and Linear Speed Specialist Geoff King specializes in dynamics and proper running mechanics of linear speed as well as explosive strength, agility, and speed training. In addition to those duties, Geoff directs purpose calls for character development and live character development segments.
Geoff is also an integral part to the travel 7v7 football team as he is a part of the injury prevention as well as pre-game stretching, filming, and scouting.

Work Plan
At AWP Sports, I will be a coach within the Football Academy and also on the travel 7v7 team.
Expectations:
I am required to attend each Friday Football Academy as an instructor of Wide Receivers and Running Backs and Saturday attendance at film session and small group work is optional. The coaching duties include attending staff meetings, conference calls, and character development sessions as they are scheduled. Each weekend 7v7 tournament I am also expected to attend and any one day camps I can make would be beneficial, but is not required.
Duties:
1. Instruct wide receivers and running backs in Football Academy and on 7v7 team, including Create teaching progression for the position and plan out Academy player schedules in four-week sessions
2. Offensive Coordinator for AWP Grey Team - prepare and gameplan for 7v7 tournaments.
3. Create scouting reports and lead offensive meetings including coaches and players.
4. Participate in Character development sessions and provide leadership and guidance to players.
5. Participate in decision-making processes/meetings for company growth and direction.
6. Network with college coaches and promote athletes.
Throughout the experience I will be compensated through gas mileage reimbursement and also an hourly rate for the Football Academy only, while 7v7 travel, unless by charter bus, is out of pocket.

1. Gain valuable knowledge in management areas specific, but not limited to athletic management, business development, marketing and promotion, and most importantly management of people.
2. Develop relationships with staff members and clients at AWP Sports.
3. Network with college coaches.
4. Understand the market of and for sports training facilities.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this mentorship I should be able to:
1. Identify marketing strategies effective for sports training
2. Identify growth potential for sports training at all levels.
3. Create individual athletic and leadership plans.
4. Identify areas in high demand.
5. Create relationships and communicate effectively with college coaches.
6. Organize and strategize for a large number of clients.
7. Develop plans to attract clients and create a competitive advantage in a pre-determined market.
8. Execute strategy.
